Welcome to UMP! Find all the information you need to understand your 2024 Uniform Medical Plan coverage.
Have questions? Call UMP Customer Service for questions about medical benefits, or Washington State Rx Services for questions about prescription drugs. For questions about vision benefits call Vision Service Plan (VSP).
Note: The Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) annual open enrollment ended November 30, 2023. This information is for newly eligible subscribers or employees regaining eligibility who are choosing a health plan, or for a subscriber who experiences a qualifying event during the year that creates a special open enrollment that allows a health plan change.
Find out more about all of UMP’s plans online with PEBB’s virtual benefits fair. The virtual benefits fair allows you to learn about your benefit options through an online, interactive, and personalized experience. It is available anytime, day or night.
Use your computer, tablet, or smartphone to visit UMP’s virtual benefits booth. Once there, you can view UMP’s short videos to get an overview of all UMP plans or select a specific plan to see more detailed information. You can also access recorded webinars that discuss all of UMP’s plans.
You use the same ID card for both medical services and prescription drugs. You should show your ID card to all providers you see, including pharmacies, to make sure they have up-to-date billing information for you. You do not use your UMP ID card for dental services.
If you haven't gotten your card yet, need a replacement, or need an extra card:
- Print your own card by logging in to your Regence account. If you don’t already have an account, you will need your member ID number to create one. If you recently enrolled, your member information may not yet be available in your Regence account.
- View your ID card by using the Regence mobile app. Find the Regence app in Apple's App Store or Google Play.
- For medical services, call UMP Customer Service to get your ID number or order a card.
For prescription drugs, use the following prescription drug identification information (applies to all UMP PEBB plans):
State of Washington: Navitus
PCN: NVTU
BIN: 610602
Rx group #: 10008217

For the complete list of 2024 premiums, visit the Health Care Authority (HCA) website (employees, retirees, PEBB Continuation Coverage).
Note: Non-represented ESD employees and employees who work for an educational service district, city, tribal government, county, port, water district, hospital, etc., must contact their payroll or benefits office to get their monthly premium costs.
UMP updated the UMP Notice of Privacy Practices (effective November 1, 2023). Read it to learn how UMP and the Health Care Authority are protecting your personal information.
Your 2024 certificate of coverage is your best resource for benefit information. It describes what is covered and how much you will pay for different services.
UMP offers UMP Classic, UMP Select, UMP CDHP, and UMP Plus. UMP Plus has two network options: Puget Sound High Value Network (PSHVN) and UW Medicine Accountable Care Network (ACN). To quickly compare 2024 plan information:
- Review benefits comparisons (UMP Classic, UMP Select, UMP Plus, and UMP CDHP or UMP Classic Medicare).
- Use PEBB’s medical benefits comparison tool and choose up to three UMP plans to compare.
- Review Summaries of Benefits and Coverage.
- Read this summary of your prescription drug benefit.
If you qualify for services, the UMP Centers of Excellence (COE) Program covers single knee and single hip replacement surgery, and spine care evaluation and/or surgery for low to no cost. This program is available for all UMP members except those enrolled in UMP Plus and UMP members enrolled in Medicare as their primary coverage. Medicare and UMP Plus members have access to covered services related to joint replacement and spine care outside of this program. To learn more, visit Premera’s COE program website.
Use the Prescription Drug Price Check tool for UMP Classic, UMP Select, UMP CDHP, and UMP Plus to estimate the cost of your drug. For more information, refer to your certificate of coverage under the section “What you pay for prescription drugs”.
If you have UMP Classic or UMP Select, the prices for the Tier 2 drugs listed assume you’ve met your prescription drug deductible (some exceptions apply, see the UMP Preferred Drug List for more information). For these Tier 2 drugs, you will pay the entire cost of prescription drugs until you meet your prescription drug deductible. Once you have met this deductible for the year, you only pay your coinsurance.
If you have UMP CDHP, the prices listed assume you have met your combined (medical and prescription drug) deductible. You will pay the entire cost of prescription drugs until you meet your combined deductible (some exceptions apply, see the UMP Preferred Drug List for more information). Once you have met your deductible for the year, you only pay your coinsurance.
- UMP Plus does not have a prescription drug deductible so the prices shown are an estimate of what you will pay.
Use the Pharmacy Locator Tool to find a network pharmacy near you.
Save time by having your medications shipped directly to you at no cost. Costco Mail-Order Pharmacy and Postal Prescription Services (PPS) are the mail-order pharmacies available to UMP members.
