Welcome to the Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) Program open enrollment. Open enrollment starts October 28 and ends November 25, 2024. Benefit coverage will begin January 1, 2025. Communication Access Real-time Transcription (CART) services, or live closed captioning, are available for this event, on demand. For the complete list of 2025 premiums, visit the PEBB website (employees, retirees, PEBB Continuation Coverage (non-Medicare), PEBB Continuation Coverage (Medicare) or read the PEBB Program’s October For Your Benefit newsletter, which will be mailed or emailed (depending on the delivery method you chose) starting on October 7, 2024.
Note: Non represented city, tribal government, county, port, water district, hospital, etc., must contact their payroll or benefits office to get their monthly premiums.
There are no changes to the following for UMP Classic, UMP Select, UMP Plus–PSHVN, and UMP Plus–UW Medicine ACN members:
- Medical deductible
- Prescription drug deductible
- Out-of-pocket maximum
- SmartHealth wellness incentive ($125 deductible credit to those who qualify)
- Washington State Rx Services (WSRxS) has changed its name to ArrayRx
Your prescription drug benefits are not changing, but you will see ArrayRx referenced instead of Washington State Rx Services on benefit documents and on your new member ID card. - UMP is updating its privacy practices
As of November 1, 2024, UMP is introducing an updated Notice of Privacy Practices. You can access the new notice on the UMP notice of privacy practices webpage. Take a moment to review the updated notice to understand how UMP and the Health Care Authority are committed to protecting your personal information. - UMP Classic Medicare is changing to UMP Classic Medicare with Part D (PDP)
The plan will have different member cost sharing, drug formulary, pharmacy network than UMP Classic had. For more information, go to ArrayRxSolutions.com/UMP
The UMP Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP) deductible is increasing
The deductible for UMP CDHP members is increasing to $1,650 for a single subscriber and $3,300 for a family. This is an increase from $1,600 for a single subscriber and $3,200 for a family. This deductible increase is required to maintain compliance with IRS rules, so that a subscriber can make eligible health savings account (HSA) contributions in 2025. UMP CDHP members will be receiving a new ID card for 2025 with the updated deductible amounts.A new Diabetes Management Program is coming soon
The Diabetes Management Program is a new online program available in 2025 to members age 18 and older with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. This program includes extensive support tools such as glucose tracking, live coaching, and mental and emotional care to help improve your health and manage your diabetes. Starting January 1, 2025, you will pay $0 for medically necessary diagnostic and supplemental breast exams. These services are subject to the deductible under the UMP CDHP plan.Changes to vision plan
Starting January 1, 2025, routine vision exam and routine vision hardware benefits will NOT be part of your UMP medical plan and administered through Vision Service Plan (VSP). During open enrollment, you must choose from a selection of separate vision plan options. This change does not affect members who have Medicare as their primary plan.- Prescription drug costs

- See changes to the UMP Preferred Drug List
Starting in November, see a list of anticipated changes to the UMP Preferred Drug List (PDL). The list is updated throughout the year and does not contain every anticipated change to the UMP PDL. It only contains changes that may negatively impact members, such as increasing a drug’s cost or limiting the amount of drug available per refill.
- UMP Plus–Puget Sound High Value Network (PSHVN):
- For 2025, UMP Plus–PSHVN will no longer serve Chelan and Douglas counties.
- The plan will continue to serve King, Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish, and Yakima counties.

- UMP Plus–UW Medicine Accountable Care Network (UW Medicine ACN):
- For 2025, UMP Plus–UW Medicine ACN does not have any service area changes.
- The plan will continue to serve Benton, Franklin, King, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Spokane, and Thurston counties.

UMP offers UMP Classic, UMP Select, UMP CDHP, and UMP Plus. UMP Plus has two network options: Puget Sound High Value Network (PSHVN) and UW Medicine Accountable Care Network (ACN). To quickly compare 2025 plan information:

If you qualify for services, the UMP Centers of Excellence (COE) Program covers single knee and single hip replacement surgery, and spine care evaluation and/or surgery for low to no cost.
This program is available for all UMP members except those enrolled in UMP Plus and UMP members enrolled in Medicare as their primary coverage.* To learn more, watch the COE video or visit Premera’s COE program website.
